Existence of director's final cut has become a big myth among fans

It's not from today that director Zack Snyder is using the Vero social network to share unpublished photos of the Justice League set. However, since the film was released and became the target of much criticism, some viewers have hoped that, just like in Batman vs. Superman, Warner will release the director's cut (via Polygon).

Snyder's finalized version has become something of a social media myth. Fans went to the front of the studio, dressed as League heroes, to protest (see here); more than 130,000 people signed a petition demanding the release of the original court (see here); and even a crowdfunding campaign was set up to raise funds for a documentary that would investigate what went wrong with the director's initial project (see here).

Warner never confirmed or denied the existence of this version, but Snyder hinted at Vero that it was almost done. When a user shared a link titled "Zack Snyder's cut was more complete than you might think," the director left his like, almost as a sign of approval (see here).

In April this year, Snyder gave more details about the plot, stating that Lois Lane would die, leaving the Man of Steel fragile and vulnerable to Darkseid's control - read here. In June, a staff member confirmed the existence of the cut, which would have stopped before the post-production phase - check it out here.

Nevertheless, Henry Cavill said in a July interview that he doesn't believe the cut would make any difference: "I think it might be fun to watch and say 'look, they took this part, but it's not something that would change anything for the studio, will not make rivers of money suddenly "- read more here.

According to sources consulted by Collider, the director's initial cut was "unassistable," information corroborated by journalist Josh L. Dickey, who also said Joss Whedon was hired to replace Snyder months before his complete dismissal. Dickey also says that Snyder's departure was not only due to personal problems: he would have been fired (understand).

As it turns out, from October 2017 onwards, Zack Snyder is sharing never-before-theatrical images like Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) with a shirt that references the Black Freighter Tales - a sort of Watchmen's easter egg - and actress Kiersey Clemons, who was completely cut off, on set. Some fans believe that even if Warner doesn't release the director's cut, that would be his way of showing his approach to the story.
