This week the Sunday Stamping challenge for Adventures in Stamping is to create a manicure with a lilac colored base. I'm a little late in posting this today, but at least I still got it done on Sunday so I can't complain. I chose a ruffly pattern for stamping as it reminded me of the beautiful dresses worn during the Cinco de Mayo celebration. Only thing missing are the bright colors of those dresses. This is my first attempt at stamping over a textured polish and it worked very well. Now I'm curious to see if it lasts through the rest of the day...
For this manicure, I started out with a pretty lilac base of Zoya PixieDust Stevie. I will post swatches of Stevie and the rest of the Summer PixieDust collection next week. The stamping was done using Zoya Monica and Pueen plate Pueen15...
So far the stamping is staying put and not rubbing off without a top coat. I even tried using some scotch tape to see if I could get it to lift off the stamping and it didn't budge. I'm quite happy with how it turned out and that I can maintain the textured look with the stamping...
The stamping plate used for this manicure is Pueen15. I was sent this plate along with a few others for review. A great teaser, but oh so mean since a stamping addict such as myself can't live without a complete set anyway. I will do a full review after I purchase the whole set...
They come with a blue protective cover on the front which is to be removed prior to stamping. They also have the paper backing which lists the company website and it helps to dull the otherwise sharp metal edges. As you can see it stamps very well. I've tried a few plates so far and I'm very impressed...
Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)
