Justin Bieber does want to star as George Michael in a movie about the recently deceased singer, despite a very late and incredibly wrong report. Gossip Cop can once again bust this entirely inaccurate claim. We're assured it's "false"
According to a 10-day too late story from the Daily Star, Bieber "believes he can pull-off a convincing screen version of the 80s heartthrob who died on Christmas Day." The British tabloid further alleges Bieber "already shot his own video versions of two of George's classic hits 'Faith' and 'Careless Whisper' to convince studio bosses he is right for the role." "His renditions of both numbers were so good, his entire team is now backing him to get the part," adds the misguided newspaper.
The tabloid then quotes a so-called "source close to Bieber" as confirming, "Several studio bosses have already shown interest and a couple have remarked that, as well as nailing the voice, Justin could actually pass for a young George with minimal make-up and styling." The same seemingly fabricated "source" adds that Bieber feels "he is capable of playing George at every age up to his death."
If this sounds familiar it's because Gossip Cop busted this wholly concocted story about Bieber playing George Michael in a movie more than a week and a half ago when Life & Style first published this fake news. The claim wasn't true then, and it's still untrue. And curiously, the Daily Star contends it's late and wrong story is "exclusive."
Regardless, Bieber's manager has exclusively assured Gossip Cop the paper's tardy's tale is "false." We're told no one from Bieber's team has tried to "convince studio bosses he is right for the role," nor have movie execs "already shown interest" in him playing Michael. It's simply all made up.
